Delhi seems to have found a way out of the political quagmire. A K Antony’s visit if observed closely will offer an insight into the way Delhi is thinking. This is now a sign that it wants to give Telengana away, provided the TRS merges with it. And at the same time it would take its chances in Andhra by forming an alliance with Chiranjeevi. At the end of the day with everything else being equal, Delhi will feel the PRP leader is the only one who stands a semblance of chance against Y S Jagan’s charisma. The foolishness or wisdom behind this decision will only be revealed in time. Meanwhile Mrs Gandhi might in all probability find this option an easier one to swallow. This way she would have a clean sweep in Telengana and in Andhra and Rayalaseema her party would pitch against the TDP and Y S Jagan’s new party. Delhi would find this a better alternative as there is no BJP or the Communists to deal with in this scenario.
