It appears that the young rebel star Prabhas may be a man with a strong physique but a weak mind. Atleast that’s the comment many are passing after watching him recently at a place. This has come into the buzz since it is heard that Prabhas has become a chain smoker.

Recently, he came to the Prasad labs for doing the dubbing part of his movie ‘Darling’. Those who were present there revealed that Prabhas was seen coming in and going out at regular intervals. And each time he came out, he lighted a cigarette and was busy puffing it away lost in thought.

Some are saying that the recent spate of flops has taken a toll on Prabhas and he is going through a stormy patch. On the other hand, some say that he has the habit of smoking cigarettes in a big way whenever he does his dubbing to add more base to his voice. Only Prabhas can tell the truth.

The unit is busy with the shooting of the patchwork in Ramoji Film City for the past four days. The producer Singanamala Ramesh said that they are planning to release the film for the summer.This flick is directed by SJ Suryah of Khushi fame. A London based hot shot model Nikisha is the heroine. The Oscar winning music director A R Rehaman is scoring the music for the film

Naga Chaitanya Kajal Romance in USA

After making his debut in 'Josh' last year, Naga Chaitanya became an overnight sensation with his second film 'Ye Maya Chesave' which was released on February 26th across the world. His third movie is set to go on floors later this month. This time, he's going to act with the current heartthrobs of Telugu cinema, Kajal. Some part of this film will be shot in USA and currently the film unit is in search of locations. The film will be produced by D.Sivaprasad Reddy on 'Kamakshi Kala Movies' banner. And it will be directed by Ajay Bhuyan, who will make his directorial debut with this film. V.S.Gnanashekar is the cinematographer.

Varudu deals with a hero crossing hurdles to win his love

After a three-year sabbatical Gunasekhar is back to celluloid story telling with Universal Media's Varudu starring Allu Arjun and newcomer Bhanu in the lead. Well known for his penchant for technical fineness, Gunasekhar is at the sprawling studio floor at Annapurna Studios where he personally supervises the lavish set created by art director Ashok before he starts shoot
on the last song, on the hero, heroine and a host of group dancers.

In a casting coup of sort, producer D.V.V. Danayya has signed popular Tamil actor Arya to play the antagonist. Interestingly, ‘Bunny' as Allu Arjun is known to his fans and in film circles is a popular hero in Kerala through his films dubbed in Malayalam. Arya hails from Kerala. With Varudu, Bunny is expected to reach a large section of Tamil audience too.

“In fact, the character demanded an actor of Arya's looks and calibre to play the role,” you are told.Gunasekhar goes for minute details on every craft of filmmaking and sketches even the costumes before he finalises with the stylist and the costume designers. You have seen Bunny's stylish makeover in a role marked with split personality syndrome in Arya 2.

Varudu takes the ‘stylish' star to the next level in acting showcasing his prowess besides entertaining you with his bubbly antics and dancing skills. Bhanu hails from Bengaluru and makes her debut in Telugu films.

Set against a large number of families of which the protagonist belongs to one, the story, according to the producer takes you on a roller coaster ride of entertainment laced with Gunasekhar's subtle style of action blocks.

“One can view all the subtleties of a Gunasekhar screenplay in the family drama replete with romance, humour and melodrama. The action sequences will (fights: ‘Stunt' Siva) leave a mark.” One can agree as one has witnessed them earlier in the director's big hit, Okkadu.

Interestingly, about a hundred real life families appear on the screen along with their family members as part of the huge set up along with popular actors Suhasini, Vinaya Prasad, Naresh, Ashish Vidyardhi, Sayaji Shinde, ‘Ahuti' Prasad, Brahmaji and Brahmanandam just to name a few. Veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who had played cameos in a couple of films
earlier makes his debut in a full length role.

Guna Sekhar is known for Telugutanam in his movies and he is going to show the sequence of marriage the way it should be performed in his forth coming movie Varudu with Allu Arjun in the main lead. There will be a 13 minute song explaining the rituals of a proper marriage. Mani Sharma composed music and Veturi penned lyrics. Music of this movie will be launched on the evening of 7 March 2010. Varudu will be releasing this month end.

Suman babu is gearing up for the next venture..

With the unanimous hit talk of the NON STOP movie, he is very enthuastic to do movies in Lead roles.

Srinu Vytla to change script for Mahesh’s film?

After directing Venkatesh in ‘Namo Venkatesa’ which released in January this year, Srinu Vytla is gearing up for his next which has Mahesh in lead role. This is the first time that Srinu Vytla is going to direct Mahesh and he seems to be leaving no stone unturned to ensure that this film turns out to be a huge commercial success. Mahesh had already given his final nod for the script narrated by Srinu Vytla. The latest buzz is that Srinu Vytla is reworking on the script for this film to increase the production values. Sneha Ullal, the look a like of Aishwarya Rai, is getting busier in Telugu now. Young rebel star, Prabhas upcoming flick ‘Darling’ under the direction of Karunakaran will be hitting the big screens in the month of April. The gorgeous beauty Kajal agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie. The unit is presently shooting at Hyderabad. The talkie part of the film, except some action scenes and a couple of songs is completed. The team has earlier shot in exotic locations of Switzerland which have never been seen in Telugu films.

The makers of the film are planning to wrap up the shooting in the mid of February and are planning to release the film in the first week of April. Darling is said to be a romantic-action-comedy entertainer with a heavy budget.

Peter Hynes is the stunt master and Andrews is handling the camera. Ramoji Rao's Non Stop Problems

The media baron Ramoji Rao has always been revered for his foresight and his vision as the creator of an empire. However, he seems to have his own issues and this is articularly in the form of his son Suman. Once upon a time, Suman was heading the ETV channel serials and everywhere it was his name. Young hero Ram’s tentatively titled film ‘Tom & Jerry’ will be going to sets in the month of March. Surendar Reddy who gave super hit movies like ‘Athanokkade’ and ‘Kick’ will direct this movie. Surendar was supposed to direct “Mr.Perfect’ with Prince Mahesh babu but, before that project he is directing this movie with Ram.

Ileana will play the lead role opposite Ram in the film. The duo has earlier acted in the film, Devadas. This movie is produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under Sri Sravanthi Movies banner.
