SALMANKHAN - MUSCLE HERO

Salman Khan, born 27 Dec.'65, is one of the Bollywood's highly popular stars in Tinsel Ville, who, at 5'7" looks charmingly handsome and who actually comes from a family that already has acquintance of the industry with his father Salim Khan songs and script-writing the films for years.

Salman Khan, who is called "Salu" at home, is the eldest of three sons in the family with the younger bro "Arbazz" and the youngest bro "Sohail" in the departments of action and direction of films in the industry, respectively.

Though Salman Khan had a low profile after his first appearence in "Biwi Ho To Aisi", he, successfully, managed to get the attention of a few top class directors and in the way got a big break through Sooraj Barjatya's blockbustser movie "MAINE PYAR KIYA" which broke all kinds of records and at the box office - giving the transformation to him from a low profile category to the high profile in one night. The movie "Maine Pyar Kiya" was given a lot of praise in the industry doing a whole lot of good things for everyone in the movie and to top it all, was given the consideration as SHOLAY - II.

Comes another hit "Patthar Ke Pool" with Raveena Tandon but he was suddenly under the clouds of shadow as a few films of his had flopped and failed at the box office and again Raj Shree comes to his rescue giving him a chance in HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN. Later on, there was no looking back for him as he has risen to the stardom and the life in the industry has been a walk on the bed of roses.

Afterwards, he signed two movies of his director-brother Sohail - namely, "Auzaar" and "Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya.."

He has taken the graduation when he got the FILM FARE's "Best Supporting Actor" for his role in "Kuch Kuch Hota Hain" which shows his maturity as an actor and his roles in "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and "Jaanam Samjha Karo" are worth of appreciation.

Since "Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge" and "Chal Mera Bhai" did pretty well at the box office, all eyes of the industry are set on his new release "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega" which is so unfortunately not faring upto the expectation. No doubt, Salman Khan is one of the best actors the industry has ever produced. He is one of the Bollywood's great actors.

In 2000, he was arrested by police under the charge of having connection with underworld mafia. In 2002, Khan was arrested again, this time for culpable homicide following the death of a man in a car accident in Bombay. He was found to be not guilty.

Blue Jeans, Tight Ads: Khan loves tight fitting Levis 501 jeans. He is infamous for taking off his shirt in films to reveal his chiseled chest.
Most Beautiful: Was voted 7th best-looking man in the world by "People" Magazine.
Bigoraphy: For awhile Bollywood hunk Salman Khan was recognized only for his biceps and tight fitting jeans. But with a sucessful string of film roles, this notion has changed. Acting is in Khan's blood; his father is Salim Khan, a renowned scriptwriter and his step mother Helen leaves an indelible mark in Hindi films as the sensuous epitome of a cinematic diva.
After roles in numerous B films, Salman Khan came of age with Sooraj Barjatya's "Maine Pyar Kiya." "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun'"s phenomenal success established Salman as one of the formidable Khan trio.

AJAY DEVAGAN

Ajay Devgan, whose birth name is Vishal, was born on April 2, 1967, and is the son of stunt coordinator, Veeru Devgan. He has reached superstardom because of his excellent performance in a series of good films. He is married to film actress Kajol, daughter of Tanuja. Ajay and Kajol welcomed their first child, a daughter, in April 2003.

Ajay is one actor who has gained stardom on the merit of his performances, not bas on Bollywood-style good looks. He started his career with movies centered on a lot of violence. Later, he ventured to make his mark in emotional and romantic roles. His roles in movies like 'Ishq' and 'Pyar To Hona Hi Thaa' brought out his softer side.

'Phool Aur Kaante' was his debut film in 1991. In 2000, Ajay produced and directed 'Raju Chacha'. He also produced 'Hindustan Ki Kasam'. But it was not until 2002 that Ajay's carerr was redefined. Fans and critics alike were impressed with his superb performances in movies like Company, 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh'.

Recently, having established himself as a good performance actor, Ajay seems to be experimenting with his looks – seen sporting highlights in his hair, a French beard and a moustache. His uneven teeth are no hindrance to his screen confidence. His confidence as an actor permeates into the characters he plays, bringing about an all-round convincing performance. Personally, Ajay is known to be a quiet person who does not like to party much and is a car enthusiast.

Aamir Hussain Khan, the PET-SHOP boy of the bollywood, was born 14 March 1965 to Tahir and Zeena Hussain into a family of his elder bro Faizal who is a VJ and an actor and two sisters Nikhat and Farhad.

Aamir Khan, who is called AK everywhere, has, though his first movie was Holi, been introduced into the films as a Hero in 1988 with all time musical hit "QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK" - the numbers of which can still be heard around. AK, being the gentle man and heart throb in the industry, has acted in front of the camera almost with all the heroines and the performance in all his movies is always beyond expectation. In 1996, he has got the "Best Actor" award for his outstanding performance in "Raja Hindustani" which was a smash hit at the box office and Aamir has placed himself among the top heroes of the Bollywood.

Aamir is not just an actor. He likes literature a lot and whenever he finds his time, he enjoys reading the writings of Leo Tolstoy.

He is married to Reena and has been blessed with two.

In Bollywood, Aamir definitely has a place for his looks and his unique style in the films.

5' 5" tall, Aamir, is a versatile actor who works for passion more than money. Aamir chooses his roles well. Consequently, you do not see him in too many movies. He does not do more than one movie at a time.

AMITHABATCHAN - DON OF BOLLYWOOD

Amitabh Bachhan is, in popular parlance, the king of Indian cinema was born on October 11, 1942 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India . The older of the two sons of Harivansh Rai, an acclaimed Hindi poet, and the socialite Teji Bachhan, Amitabh went to Sherwood College, a boarding school in the hill-station town of Nainital, and from there to Delhi University where he earned an arts degree. This six feet tall man started the trend of the angry young man in the film industry. Director K. A. Abbas launched him in the film Saat Hindustani which went unnoticed. This versatile actor even did the playback in most of his films. Altogether, Amitabh Bachhan has appeared in over 100 films, an astounding number most of which, were box office blockbusters.

QUITE simply, the answer is Bachchan's string of box office hits. One after the other, the actor's films hit the jackpot with such sustained regularity that in the seventies and eighties, Amitabh Bachchan became the safest bet for producers, distributors and exhibitors alike. Amitabh met with a serious accident on the sets of Coolie, the entire nation united in prayers for his speedy recovery. The prayers turned into a blessing for the superhero, as he returned to the scene with double the impact.

It was love at first sight for Amitabh as Jaya became his spouse and the famous Guddi girl Jaya Bhaduri transformed into Mrs. Bachchan.About ten years later, Amitabh retired from the film world. He then tried his hand at politics.Due to his enormous popularity, not to mention the close association with Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, he was elected to parliament with a huge majority from his home city of Allahabad. He resigned his seat in parliament and returned to cinema.

He launched his company ABCL which is known as Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited which realesed many controversial films like Mani Ratnam's Bombay and Shekhar Kapoor's Bandit Queen and commercial film's like Joy Augustine's Tere Mere Sapne and Sachin's Naam Kya Hai which was produced under the same banner. His company was the principal sponsor of the 1996 Miss World Contest, held in Bangalore.

The Big B was back! As the year 2000 ended, at the age of 58, Amitabh Bachchan was once again the Superstar of India. His latest album release was Eer Bhir Phatte and Kabhi Kabhi.
