‘Varudu’ Audio Attacked By T- Activists

The menace being caused by the Telangana agitators seems to be getting to the heights of insanity. Now, they have proved their blinded sentiment once again by trying to cause trouble at the Ramanaidu studios. Here is the story behind that.

The audio release function of the film ‘Varudu’ is happening at the venue and as expected, the Telangana seekers barged in, trying to create a ruckus. Apparently, their resolve is that this is going to happen for anyone who is coming from Andhra.

While the group was later warded off by the security and the police, another buzz is also making rounds. It is heard that this is just a publicity stunt which has been organized by the makers to give some mileage to the film. Whether that is true or not, ‘Varudu’ has started on a noisy note but went on happily

The film Komaram Puli with Pawan Kalyan in a dual role is being delayed considerably.The latest news is that Komuram Puli is getting shot at rapid pace here in Hyderabad. The unit is busy with the shooting of the patchwork in Ramoji Film City for the past four days. The producer Singanamala Ramesh said that they are planning to release the film for the summer.This flick is directed by SJ Suryah of Khushi fame. Varudu deals with a hero crossing hurdles to win his love

After a three-year sabbatical Gunasekhar is back to celluloid story telling with Universal Media's Varudu starring Allu Arjun and newcomer Bhanu in the lead. Well known for his penchant for technical fineness, Gunasekhar is at the sprawling studio floor at Annapurna Studios where he personally supervises the lavish set created by art director Ashok before he starts shoot
on the last song, on the hero, heroine and a host of group dancers.

An expensive set is erected at the Ramanaidu Studios too to film for Veturi Sundarama Murthy's lyric - ‘Rela re rela re rela re rela re…Khammam dhaati vachesaka gummam thokki
thalupeyyala… Orugalle odinchaaka vayyarale dhulipeyyala' rendered by Karthik and Geetha Madhuri to Mani Sharma's peppy tune, choreographed by ‘Amma' Rajasekhar.

In a casting coup of sort, producer D.V.V. Danayya has signed popular Tamil actor Arya to play the antagonist. Interestingly, ‘Bunny' as Allu Arjun is known to his fans and in film circles is a popular hero in Kerala through his films dubbed in Malayalam. Arya hails from Kerala. With Varudu, Bunny is expected to reach a large section of Tamil audience too.

“In fact, the character demanded an actor of Arya's looks and calibre to play the role,” you are told.Gunasekhar goes for minute details on every craft of filmmaking and sketches even the costumes before he finalises with the stylist and the costume designers. You have seen Bunny's stylish makeover in a role marked with split personality syndrome in Arya 2.

Varudu takes the ‘stylish' star to the next level in acting showcasing his prowess besides entertaining you with his bubbly antics and dancing skills. Bhanu hails from Bengaluru and makes her debut in Telugu films.

Set against a large number of families of which the protagonist belongs to one, the story, according to the producer takes you on a roller coaster ride of entertainment laced with Gunasekhar's subtle style of action blocks.

“One can view all the subtleties of a Gunasekhar screenplay in the family drama replete with romance, humour and melodrama. The action sequences will (fights: ‘Stunt' Siva) leave a mark.” One can agree as one has witnessed them earlier in the director's big hit, Okkadu.

Interestingly, about a hundred real life families appear on the screen along with their family members as part of the huge set up along with popular actors Suhasini, Vinaya Prasad, Naresh, Ashish Vidyardhi, Sayaji Shinde, ‘Ahuti' Prasad, Brahmaji and Brahmanandam just to name a few. Veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who had played cameos in a couple of films
earlier makes his debut in a full length role.

As you are briefed these details, ace lens man R.D. Rajasekhar with his assistants have a look at the sets discussing the details with the director. “Mani Sharma's tunes and RR is a major plus point. He is at his best and the songs will haunt melody lovers for a long time to come.”

13 minute wedding song in Varudu

Guna Sekhar is known for Telugutanam in his movies and he is going to show the sequence of marriage the way it should be performed in his forth coming movie Varudu with Allu Arjun in the main lead. There will be a 13 minute song explaining the rituals of a proper marriage. Mani Sharma composed music and Veturi penned lyrics. Music of this movie will be launched on the evening of 7 March 2010. Varudu will be releasing this month end.

బ్రిటిషు ప్రభుత్వం, 22.ఫిబ్రవరి.1847, సొమవారం, ఉదయం 7 గంటలకు జుర్రేటి వడ్డున ఉయ్యాలవాడ నరసింహారెడ్డిని బహిరంగంగా ఉరితీసింది. ఉరి దృశ్యాన్ని చుసిన ప్రజలు, మౌనం గా రొదించారు.విప్లవకారులని భయభ్రాంతులను చేయడానికి నరసింహారెడ్డి తలను 1877 వరకు కోయిలకుంట్ల కోటలో ఉరికొయ్యకు వ్రేలాడదీసే ఉంచారు.



Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy: 161th Death Anniversary,22.Feb.2008, 7 AM

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is credited to be the first freedom fighter in India as he revolted 10 years earlier than the Sepoy Rebellion of 1857. He was born at uyyalawada of present kurnool dist which is on the banks of river kundu.
Reddy led one of the first popular revolts in India againstBritish occupation.
After Kurnool District had come under British rule as one of a number of ceded districts, Reddy, the local chieftain (palegar) of Koilkuntla, refused to share the revenue of the region with the British. He then led a popular uprising against the British. The Collector of the ceded district, Thomas Monroe, took a serious view of the rebellion and ordered Reddy's capture. Gosai Venkanna of Akumalla was the chief adviser to Reddy.
Reddy was in favour of an armed uprising and is supposed to have used guerilla tactics of warfare. On 10th June 1846 he attacked the treasury at Koilkuntla and marched towards Kumbam (Prakasan District). On the way created uproar at Rudravaram by killing the forest ranger. British Govt appointed Cocrain as a special collector to look into the revolt and submerge Reddy. War took place near Cumbam and Giddalur with Brirtish forces. British govt announced Rs 5000/ for the information and Rs10000/ for his head which was a very huge amount in those days.
Reddy escaped the British captain Holt, and took refuge in the Nallamala hills. When the British tightened his movements in Nallamala Reddy came back to Koilkuntla area and was hiding in Jagannatha Konda near the village of Ramabhadrunipalle. Some informant brought to the notice of British authorities about the hiding of Reddy and his followers. The hill was surrounded by the armed forces in the midnight. He was caught on the midnight of 6th October 1846. Reddy was badly beaten before being brought to Koilkuntla. He was tied with heavy chains and with blood shed cloths taken to procession in the streets of Koilkuntla so that no other person should dare to revolt against British.[1]. He was charged for murders and treason and sentenced to death. On 22nd February, Reddy was hanged publicly by the British in Koilkuntla on the banks of the Jurreru river

Srinu Vytla to change script for Mahesh’s film?

After directing Venkatesh in ‘Namo Venkatesa’ which released in January this year, Srinu Vytla is gearing up for his next which has Mahesh in lead role. This is the first time that Srinu Vytla is going to direct Mahesh and he seems to be leaving no stone unturned to ensure that this film turns out to be a huge commercial success. Mahesh had already given his final nod for the script narrated by Srinu Vytla. The latest buzz is that Srinu Vytla is reworking on the script for this film to increase the production values. He’s also planning to cast a new actress in this film and currently he’s scouting for one.

Achanta Gopichand, Achanta Ram, Sunkara Ramabrahmam are jointly producing the film on ‘14 Reels Entertainment’ banner. They had produced Srinu Vytla-Venkatesh’s ‘Namo Venkatesa’. Srinu Vytla is planning to shoot this film with a Super 35MM camera for the first time in his career. The film will soon go on sets and more details on cast, crew are awaited.

Sneha Ullal, the look a like of Aishwarya Rai, is getting busier in Telugu now. On the other hand she is doing lead roles opposite top heroes like Balakrishna, she is also accepting guest appearances in other films. Young rebel star, Prabhas upcoming flick ‘Darling’ under the direction of Karunakaran will be hitting the big screens in the month of April. The gorgeous beauty Kajal agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie. The unit is presently shooting at Hyderabad. The talkie part of the film, except some action scenes and a couple of songs is completed. The team has earlier shot in exotic locations of Switzerland which have never been seen in Telugu films.

The makers of the film are planning to wrap up the shooting in the mid of February and are planning to release the film in the first week of April. Darling is said to be a romantic-action-comedy entertainer with a heavy budget.

Darling is produced by Bogavalli Prasad under the banner Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra India Private Ltd. G.V. Prakash of Ullasanga Utsahamga fame is scoring the music. Peter Hynes is the stunt master and Andrews is handling the camera. Balayya as Uyyalavada! expecting maro trend setter movie for TFI

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is credited to be the first freedom fighter in India as he revolted 10 years earlier than the Sepoy Rebellion of 1857. He was born at uyyalawada of present Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. Now, director Jayanth C Paranji is filming this great rebellion’s life on silver screen. Nandamuri Balakrishna will be enacting his role. Jayanth, who directed two films with Balayya including the super hit, Lakshmi Narasinha, would also be producing this period epic. It is said that Balakrishna in principle agreed to do the movie immediately after he completes his current flick, Simha.
Megastar Chiranjeevi too wanted to act as Uyyalawada Narasinha Reddy before he entered into political arena but could not do so. Balayya has finally grabbed the role that was prepared for film by Parachuri Brothers. More details are awaited.
